views, breath taking scenery, participate in a variety of activities,

the contestants to complete many different tasks. These tasks
include swimming 2.4 miles, biking over 100 miles through several
lava fields and other unsettling areas, ending the triathlon
by running the final 26 miles to the finish line. Individuals
come from all over the world to not only observe the even but
participate as well.
Another well known even that takes place here is the Hawaiian
International Billfish Tournament. This event often attracts
many of the bigger well known fishermen. It is open to the public
and gains new interest and participants each year. The price
to enter ranges from approximately $3,700 to $5000 depending
on the size of the team that wants to enter the competition.
Charter boats can also be rented for the event for an additional
five grand.
This is just a couple of events that take place during the year.
There are many other events that can be observed or participated
in depending on the time of year.
